Neurodivergent individuals are often looked down upon and denied the same opportunities that neurotypical individuals are given due to the incorrect notion that neurodivergent individuals are less smart, talented, or capable. These harmful stereotypes mask neurodivergent brilliance and prevent individuals from living to their full potential. Thus,  the Neurodiversity Ambassadors strive to erase the stigma that surrounds neurodiversity and combat the harmful stereotypes that repress the neurodiverse and their multitude of talents. Existing systems and institutions are often built with only the neurotypical in mind —these structures don't accommodate the neurodiverse and force neurodivergent individuals into a restrictive, one-size-fits all mold. Our goal is to deconstruct this mold step by step and to give a voice to those who have been marginalized simply because they think and perceive the world around them differently. The Neurodiversity Ambassadors seek to build a platform for the ne neurodiverse to thrive and feel accepted.

신경다양성은 우리가 모두 다르게 생각과 행동을 한다고 설명하지만 이러한 차이점은 결점으로 간주하기보다는 포옹되어야 합니다. 우리는 신경다양성에 대한 인식을 높이고 오명을 줄이기를 희망합니다. 우리의 사명은 다양한 신경학적 상황으로 인해 소외된 사람들을 위해 보다 환영받는 커뮤니티를 만드는 것입니다. 우리의 목표는 많은 조직들과 협력하여 소외된 신경 다양성 인구를 위한 레크리에이션 활동을 계획하는 것입니다. 마지막으로, 소외된 신경다양성 청소년의 교육을 지원하고 다양한 학습 기회를 창출하기를 목표로 합니다!
